The Second Beast of Revelation Chapter 13

Revelation 13:11-15,  “And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon. And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him, and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed.

And he doeth great wonders, so that he maketh fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men, And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by [the means of] those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live. And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed.

To define the word Beast we read Daniel 7:17, “These great beasts, which are four, [are] four kings, [which] shall arise out of the earth.” Verse 7:23 says, “Thus he said, The fourth beast shall be the fourth kingdom upon earth.” So the word Beast represents kings and kingdoms. Kings are Leaders, Presidents, or Heads of State. Kingdoms are nations or countries.

To identify the image of the beast, we must first identify the beast that comes out from the land.    The first clue is found in Revelation 13:11 “And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth, and he had two horns like a lamb and he spake as a dragon.” We know that the second beast came into existence after the first beast. As we studied the first beast, the Papacy received its deadly wound in 1798. So the second beast must rise up around the time the first beast receives its deadly wound. The United States of America is the only nation that rose into existence at the time of the papacy’s loss of power in 1798.

The second beast came up out of the earth as opposed to the first beast that came up out of the sea, it comes from the earth. The Bible defines ‘sea’ (Revelation 17:15) as representing many people and nations, then ‘earth’ represents a sparsely populated region. Therefore, this nation would rise to prominence in a region of few inhabitants. The United States of America was founded in a scarcely populated area. The United States of America grew not in the Old World which was crowded with its teeming multitudes, but in the New World, with its relatively few inhabitants.

Another clue identifies this Beast as having two lamb-like horns (Revelation 13:11) According to the Bible, a horn represents power: “He had horns … and there was the hiding of his power.” Habakkuk 3:4. Therefore, this nation has two separate powers, distinct from each other.

 A lamb is a symbol of Christ, this is another clue. This nation was founded on pure and noble Christian principles. The lamb-like qualities of the USA have made it a refuge for the persecuted and oppressed of many nations, as its constitution is based on Christian principles. The United States of America is built on two separate powers (horns). The US has a unique form of government where CHURCH and STATE are separated, which is guaranteed by the Constitution. The USA is a Republic (a kingdom without a king) and a Protestant (church without a pope), with both powers completely separated.

This Beast speaks like a dragon. This clue is found in (Revelation 13:11. The ‘lamb-like’ appearance with the ‘dragon’s voice’ reveal a striking contrast between the peaceful professions and the forceful practices of this nation The United States of America speaks like a dragon. The fundamental law of the USA written in its constitution guarantees individual liberty of conscience But, the USA has already begun and will soon fully renounce every principle of its Constitution. Its speed in change started with 911 (the Patriot Act, loss of privacy) and has continued with COVID 19 practices, rules, and new laws. 

The Constitution states, “ Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech or of the press, or the right of the people peaceably to assemble and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.“… no religious Test shall ever be required as a Qualification to any Office or public Trust under the United States.”

It is the beast with lamb-like horns (in profession pure, harmless) that speaks as a dragon. Observing what is occurring in the news and in the recent past will confirm the biblical description and the voice of a dragon

The voice of the dragon is a persecuting power, do what I say or face adverse consequences. There is only one Nation that fits the description of these four identifying marks, it is the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA.

Just as it does not matter who is holding the office of the Pope, he is still the head of this corrupt religious system, which is the First Beast. So It does not matter who is holding the office of the  United States President, he is the head of the beast system. Our political system Democrats and Republicans are corrupt;  it does not matter which party holds the presidential office, they will represent the Second Beast power of Revelation 13.

The Bible says: “And both these kings' hearts [shall be] to do mischief, and they shall speak lies at one table; (They sit at one table, the same table. They are alike) but it shall not prosper: for yet the end [shall be] at the time appointed,” Daniel 11:27.

The Two Beasts of Revelation 13 are Working together to Bring About the Mark of the Beast crisis. “And he (the second beast) had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed. (Revelation 13:15). The image of the Beast will be formed when the church unites with the state to enforce the dogmas (laws) of the state. The two Beast are already working in harmony.

Now that we have identified who the First beast is we can identify what his Mark is. A seal and a mark essentially reference the same thing. It shows ownership or belonging. God is represented as having a seal and the Beast is represented as having a mark.

The Catholic Church System, which is the First Beast of Revelation 13, claims responsibility for having changed the seventh-day Sabbath, Saturday,  the day that God sanctified and made holy (Exodus 20:8-11) to the first day of the week, Sunday.

“Sunday is our MARK of authority….the (Roman) church is above the Bible, and this transference of Sabbath observance is proof of that fact,” Catholic Record, September 1, 1923 (Ontario).

Observing Sunday as God’s holy day of rest is not yet the Mark of the Beast. It will become the Mark of the Beast when it is made a law and demanded to be observed as a holy day. That is in the very near future. Revelation 13:9, “And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads.” Caused means to be done by force. The law affects every person on planet earth by bringing about a decision, to obey God or obey man. “We ought to obey God rather than men,” Acts 5:29. 

Ezekiel 20:20 says, “And hallow my sabbaths; and they shall be a sign between me and you, that ye may know that I [am] the LORD your God.” Ezekiel 20:12, “Moreover also I gave them my sabbaths, to be a sign between me and them, that they might know that I [am] the LORD that sanctify them.”

Revelation 14: says And I looked, and, lo, a Lamb stood on the mount Sion, and with him a hundred forty [and] four thousand, having his Father's name written in their foreheads.” Mark 14:36 “And he said, Abba, Father…”Romans 8:14, Galatians 4:6. The Father’s Name is within the sABBAth. The seal is in their foreheads in their minds, sealed in truth.

Sanctify means; cleanse, purify, make holy, to set apart or appoint to a holy, sacred, or religious use. “And God blessed the seventh day and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made,” Genesis 2:3.

 The Sabbath is the seal of God. It is a test of our loyalty and obedience to Him, our Creator, Redeemer, and Savior. Worship means to: To adore; to pay divine honors to; to reverence with supreme respect and veneration. The Bible says, “Thou shalt worship no other God,” Exodus 20:3. The test to test all mankind is a test of worship. “And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads,” Revelation 13:16.  Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let everyone that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity. 2 Timothy 2:19.

“And I saw… them that had gotten the victory over the beast, and over his image, and over his mark, [and] over the number of his name, Revelation 15:2. “Blessed [are] they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city,” Revelation 22:14. “If any man have an ear, let him hear,” Revelation 13: 8.
