Trust God

Trust God

Trust is defined as placing confidence in or depending upon someone or something. Trust requires a personal relationship and does not always come easy.  In order to trust someone, we must first know them and their intentions toward us. Our Creator God has our best interest in mind. He loves us. He loved us so much that he put our interest above his own life. We killed him yet he says, “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end,” Jeremiah 29:11.    “Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning,” James 1:17.  God proves himself daily through his loving kindness toward us. We can trust God, “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, and today and forever, “Hebrews 13:8.

Concerning our health he has promised, “If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the LORD thy God, and wilt do that which is right in his sight, and wilt give ear to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I am the LORD that healeth thee, Exodus 15:26.

Any health program must begin with dependence upon God. It is in his promises that healing can be found. Make your partitions before God that he may bless your efforts and bring about healing in your life.

  • Begin & end your day with personal prayer and worship to God
  • Remember prayer promotes unity. Spend time in family worship and family prayer for a greater bond with each other.
  • The mind and body cooperate with one another. It is important that we center our minds on elevating and ennobling thoughts for better health. Fill your life with joy, “A merry heart doeth good like a medicine: but a broken spirit drieth the bones, proverbs 17:22.
  • The mind is where we connect with God. It is our special meeting place, our secret closet. Lay your partitions before God and be at peace. Don’t worry about the future, God says, “Seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. Do not allow your illness to rob you of your peace in Christ.  Faithfully claim his promises and strive to obey His Words.

It is important that we keep our minds open and available for communication with God. Impure thoughts, readings, and ideas hinder our communication with God and bar us from receiving the benefits of joy he wants to share with us. Put away those things that separate you from God. “Come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing and I will receive you, And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty,” 2 Corinthians6:18.
